This was announced by the developer and publisher Studio Wildcard at the world. When it was announced in 2020, the 'Ark 2' release date was originally for 2022. The Switch version also recently saw the introduction of locally hosted non-dedicated sessions among other things. The sequel to ARK: Survival Evolved, released in 2015, will be released in 2022. ARK 2 thrusts players into a brutal new world of primitive survival against both beast and man, facing down the ever-present threats of hyper-realistic intelligent dinosaurs, aggressive alien fauna, and the exotic environments of an unearthly planet. Meanwhile, the current game is once more calling attention to its player creature contest and confirms that the Nintendo Switch version of the survivalbox will see the Ragnarok map arrive sometime in early February. Information about these two new additions isn’t otherwise provided beyond referring to each as “a noble guardian from a foregone epoch” and “an aloof behemoth” respectively, but there are some concept art previews that can be seen below, and the post confirms that a gameplay showcase is on the horizon. All we’ve got to go on is a vague it’ll release this year, promise. Unfortunately, there is no official word on at least a window for this year. New details on the upcoming Ark 2 have been revealed as part of the Xbox and Bethesda Summer Game Fest, revealing the game will be delayed to 2023.

This past weekend’s Community Crunch newsletter provided a couple of new drips of information however, confirming the arrival of stegosaurus and brachiosaurus to the list of critters that will roam the world. The Ark 2 release date is scheduled for 2023. You can watch the new trailer for Ark 2, which is being developed in Unreal 5, above. News on ARK 2 has once again seen a bit of a silent span as Studio Wildcard continues to work toward its stated release this year and presumably takes orders from Vin Diesel. Ark 2 has been confirmed for a 2023 release, and will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass.
